Blue Coin is having a record release show on June 23rd, 2012, at the Bowery Electric in Manhattan.  At the event, the band will officially release their collaborative effort entitled the killing spree ep.  Patrick McGrath and Brian Joyce are native New Yorkers who formed Blue Coin in the winter of 2011.  Since then they have been busy writing songs and performing shows in and around NYC.

“Blue Coin is the collaboration of Brian Joyce and Patrick McGrath, and we are a band!! We are very stoked to announce that we will be releasing our first EP, ”(the killing spree ep),” on Saturday, June 23rd, @ The Bowery Electric in the East Village of Manhattan!! The EP was produced by Allen Farmelo, and features Logan Laflotte on keyboards & vocals, Randy Schrager on drums, Dave Yannuzzi on pedal steel, Pier Paolo Pappalardo on bass, and Sarah Beck Renfro on harmony vocals. Everyone that appears on the EP will be playing with us on June 23rd, except Randy Schrager, who will be on tour with Scissor Sisters, and greatly missed. Filling Randy’s impressive shoes will be the mighty, Steve Bryant.”
