Los Harapos are a musical duo who play a Flamenclown fusion. El Sr. Fregona (Fernando) and Rock Rose (Jara) are two traveling songwriters from Seville, Spain. They are a couple who have shared their lives and a passion for creating music since 2008. From the beginning they have used music as a channel of social criticism on topics such as injustice, war, and world hunger.
Fernando and Jara have taken their stage act on the road and are currently living and performing in Cordoba, Argentina. They live, practice, and play with members of Lilan Sur Expres, an Argentine band that rocks local clubs. These days the music of Los Harapos focuses on human knowledge and the capacity to enjoy life. Humor is a key component in their songs, banter, and antics. Los Harapos believes that to be cheerful and happy is important. It is essential to laugh at yourself and play like a child.
The following photographs were taken at Club Fragueiro in Cordoba, Argentina on May 9th. The show was called Los Harapos en el Ciclo de Mestizaje de Lilan Sur Expres. Los Harapos played nine songs in total, including four with members from Lilan Sur Expres. The night also featured music by Pablo Sosa and Carina Braga who were also accompanied by versatile musicians of Lilan Sur Expres.
